2011

Comstock Safety Achievement - Bruce Power Restart Project: Comstock was recognized by Bruce Power for having achieved two million hours on the Units 1 and 2 Restart Project without a lost time injury (2006-2010). Primarily involved in the valve restoration and systems flushes at this stage of the project, the team provided construction trade services to SNC-Lavalin Nuclear during the earlier steam generator replacement program.

2010

HHCA Safety Award, 2010: Comstock awarded the HHCA Safety Award for Category 3 (>500,000 hrs). This award is based on safety performance, external audit results and community leadership.

2009

OHSAS 18001:2007, June 2009: Comstock issued national re-certification for our Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
EMS 14001:2001, June 2009: Comstock issued regional certification for our Environmental Management System

2008

Comstock was awarded the WorkSafe Alberta 2008 Best Safety Performer for the exceptional safety performance that has been exhibited over the past year throughout our Alberta operations. This award exemplifies both personal and corporate commitment towards ensuring that a safe and healthy environment is provided for all of our employees. The award criteria included: a current Certificate of Recognition (COR), a disabling injury rate at least 40% lower than the industry average, and no lost time injuries
 

Construction Safety Association of Manitoba COR 10 Year Safety Program Recognition 2008: Comstock was issued a 10 Year Safety Program Recognition Award for being one of three construction companies who have been COR certified for 10 years with the Construction Safety Association of Manitoba.

Alberta Construction Safety Association Trailblazer Award, 2007: The Comstock Edmonton Division was given the ACSA Trailblazer Award for Large Employers. This award recognizes dedication and outstanding contributions to the enhancement of safety and health in the workplace.

2005

ECAO (Electrical) Safety Award, 2005: Comstock Ontario offices were the proud winners of the R.H. Carroll Safety Award for the >500,000 hour category in rate group 704 (Electrical Workers) and rate group 830 (Power & Transmission).
